Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 20, 2026

NoorAI ("we", "our", "us") operates the website noorai.site. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the rights you have in relation to that information. By using NoorAI you consent to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect a limited amount of information, grouped into the following categories:

  • Information you submit. Questions you ask the AI, optional chat titles, bookmarks, and the email address you provide if you create an account.
  • Account information. If you sign in, we store your email and an authenticated user ID issued by our authentication provider (Supabase). We never see or store your password directly.
  • Usage data. Pages visited, approximate device type, browser, language, referring page, and aggregate session timing collected via privacy-friendly analytics.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. Small text files stored on your device. Categories are detailed in section 4 below.
  • Server logs. Standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) retained briefly for security and abuse prevention.

2. How We Use Information

  • To deliver answers from our AI service in response to questions you submit.
  • To save and display your bookmarks and chat history when you are signed in.
  • To monitor performance, debug issues, and protect the service against abuse.
  • To measure aggregate traffic and improve content quality.
  • To display advertising via Google AdSense (where enabled) so the service can remain free.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your individual questions or chat content to train third-party AI models without your consent.

3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK Users)

For users located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR:

  • Consent — for non-essential cookies, personalised advertising, and analytics.
  • Performance of a contract — to deliver the service you have requested (account functionality, AI answers).
  • Legitimate interests — to keep the service secure, prevent fraud, and improve quality, in ways that do not override your rights.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use the following categories of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary. Required for the site to function (authentication session, CSRF protection, theme preference). These cannot be disabled.
  • Functional. Remember preferences such as bookmarks and reading position.
  • Analytics. Anonymous usage measurement to understand which content is helpful.
  • Advertising. Used by Google AdSense and its partners to display relevant ads and limit repetition. May include third-party cookies described in section 5.

You can manage cookie preferences at any time using the cookie banner shown on first visit, or your browser settings. Disabling advertising cookies will continue to show ads but they will be less relevant.

5. Advertising and Third-Party Vendors

NoorAI displays advertisements provided by Google AdSense to support free access to the service. Google and its certified partners are third-party vendors and use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.

  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on previous visits to our site and other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • Users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland may use youronlinechoices.eu to manage interest-based advertising from participating networks.
  • Users in the United States may use aboutads.info/choices to opt out of personalised advertising.

Third parties used on NoorAI include: Google AdSense (advertising), Google services (DoubleClick / Funding Choices for consent management where applicable), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Supabase (authentication and database), and the AI inference provider used to generate answers. Each operates under its own privacy policy.

6. Data Retention

  • Anonymous analytics: up to 14 months.
  • Server logs: up to 30 days.
  • Account data, bookmarks, and saved chats: retained until you delete them or close your account.
  • Backups: rolling 30-day window for disaster recovery.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the GDPR in the EU/UK and the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including personalised advertising.
  • Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@noorai.site. We respond within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

NoorAI is intended for users aged 13 and older (16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS, encrypted databases, hashed passwords (handled by our authentication provider), and Row Level Security on user data. No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

10. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where this occurs we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted in a notice on the site.

12. Contact

For any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@noorai.site or via the contact page.
