Prophet of Allah
Isa (AS)
عيسى
Known in other traditions as: Jesus
Sent to: The Children of Israel
The Messiah, son of Maryam — born without a father, spoke from the cradle, raised the dead by Allah's permission, raised alive to the heavens.
Story
Maryam, a chaste worshipper, was given the news of a son without a father. Isa spoke from the cradle defending his mother's honor. By Allah's permission, he healed the blind, cured leprosy, and raised the dead. He called the Children of Israel to tawhid, but most rejected him. When they plotted to kill him, Allah raised him alive to the heavens. He was not crucified. He will return before the Day of Judgment to break the cross, kill the Dajjal, and rule with justice.
Key Lessons
- Birth without a father does not make him divine — Adam was created without either.
- Miracles by his hand were always 'by Allah's permission.'
- The Christian doctrine of crucifixion is rejected by the Quran.
- His return is part of the signs of the Last Day.
