Prophet of Allah
Nuh (AS)
نوح
Known in other traditions as: Noah
Sent to: His people for 950 years
Called his people to tawhid for 950 years with extreme patience, then built the Ark by Allah's command for the Great Flood.
Story
Nuh was sent to a people who had begun worshipping idols. He called them to Allah day and night, openly and privately, for 950 years. Most rejected him; some mocked him. Allah finally commanded him to build a massive ship far from any sea. When the flood came, every disbeliever — including Nuh's own son who refused to board — was drowned. The believers and pairs of every animal were saved.
Key Lessons
- True dawah requires patience that exceeds normal limits.
- Family ties cannot save anyone who refuses Allah.
- Allah's punishment, when it comes, is total.
- Obedience to Allah may look strange to people — build the ark anyway.
